JDT LLC reports that the popular Radar Contact air traffic control add-on is now receiving an update. This new version 4.01 features a new method of "weaving" the wavs together: all audio files for a specific speech are condensated into a single file and this new file is finally played. Some informal calls were removed and a new (more complete) voices screen is included. Other minor fixes and improvements are present in the update. You can download Radar Contact V4.01 on the developer's official website.
Developed for serious simmers who are looking for more realism, Radar Contact v4 features virtual controllers who give taxi instructions, takeoff clearances, ascent and descent clearances, vectors to the active runway, clearances to land and traffic calls for any aircraft in their flight path. The issues with not-so-inteligent AI traffic are not a problem when using Radar Contact, as the controllers will move conflicting traffic before they become a threat. In this new version of Radar Contact, some exciting new features are present: interaction with traffic on the ground and in the air, accurate ATC procedures all over the world (not only USA), arrival airport weather taken into considaration, realistically divided centers, realistic ground operations and more efficient arrival vectors, along with many others goodies.
