Orlando International Airport (MCO) is a major gateway to Florida: over 80,000 passengers use this airport every day. Whether you are travelling for business or pleasure, MCO is easily accessible from all major Florida cities, business centres, attractions, and world-famous beaches, being just 6.5 miles southeast of Orlando. MCO is a designated Space Shuttle emergency landing site. The west-side runways, Runway Complex 18/36, was designed to accommodate B-52 Stratofortress bombers, and due to their proximity to John F. Kennedy Space Center, were an obvious choice for an emergency landing should an attempt to land at KSC fall short. The Orlando International Airport scenery for FS2004/FSX is currently in development by cloud9. It is modelled based on real ground and in-flight pictures, and features photographic textures; high-detail runways, taxiways and aprons; special effects and awesome night textures. The developer claims there's little FPS impact and that the scenery blends well with its surroundings. Check out a preview screenshot and read more about this scenery at cloud9's website.
